"You will be called a donkey, you will work untiringly from sunrise to sunset,
carry burden on your back, you will eat grass, you will have no intelligence
and you will live for 50 years.
The donkey replied:
"To Live 50 years is too much, please give me only 20 years" God granted its wish.
God created the dog and said to it:
"You will be called a Dog, you will guard the house of man, you will be his best friend,
you will eat the scraps he gives you and you will live for 30 years.
The dog replied:
"To Live 30 years is too much, please give me only 15 years" God granted its wish.
God created the monkey and said to it:
"You will be called a monkey, You will swing from branch to branch, eat fruits and green,
do tricks and amuse everybody , you will live for 20 years.
The monkey replied:
"To Live 20 years is too much, please give me only 10 years" God granted its wish.
Finally God created man and said to him:
" You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of earth. You will use your
intelligence to be master over all, you will dominate the world, you will live for 20 years.
Man answered:
"Dear God, I will be man, but to live only 20 years is not enough, please give me the
30 years the donkey refused,
15 years the dog refused and
10 years the monkey refused."
God granted man's wish and since then man lives:
- 20 years as a man
- 30 years like a donkey, gets married, has children works and carries all the burden
- 15 years like a dog, takes care of the growing children and the house and eats whatever is
given to him
-10 years like a monkey, retires, goes from house to house of his children, doing tricks
to amuse the grandchildren andso on.
This is life, isn't it..........
